I have my 4th record deal with GUT records and a publishing deal I have had for four years with BMG and life really couldn’t be more unexciting. I have done all my drugs, know I will never get THAT pissed again and have just begun my fourth job in twelve months ‘on the knocker’ as a mortgage surveyor asking people how much they are in debt, in a shirt and tie, in Salford. It is only a matter of time before I know I will have to defend myself, even though I have found the rougher the area is, the friendlier the people are, sometimes. I split up with somebody I thought I was going to grow old with eighteen months ago in a cloud of dope smoke, at the end of my third record deal with UNIVERSAL. I haven’t seen my musical partner that I have written two world-class records ‘VULNERABILIA’ and ‘NO CV’ with, under the name ‘MY COMPUTER’ for five months and I never want to see him again. I am thirty-six and live alone. Nothing is happening with either record. The first ‘VULNERABILIA’ is deleted and ‘NO CV’ is hardly setting the world on fire.
